Founded by Grace Burgess, The Lane was born from a personal love story — a house built from scratch, which sparked a full-blown design obsession. From tapping benchtops in cafés to noticing the way shadows hit walls, design became less of a job and more of a way of seeing the world.

Grace holds a formal interior design qualification, with years of hands-on experience at a leading coastal studio and a self-taught background in 3D modelling. Her aesthetic is bold, fun and refined — with a strong appreciation for custom finishes (especially bespoke handles), and design that feels inspired but never overdone.

Grace works best when involved from concept to completion — drawing out your vision, refining the spec, and seeing it through to the final styling details.
